Name Ann McQuaid Memorial Endowment Scholarship
Description This scholarship was established in memory of Ann McQuaid, a faculty member in the College and Career Preparation program at the College of New Caledonia. Ann believed in the value of education and that post-secondary education should be available to all. She had a strong commitment to those students particularly women, who returned as adults to finish high school completion courses and continue to post-secondary education. Ann felt that post-secondary education was the key to independence. This scholarship was established by friends, colleagues, former students, and her family to ensure that Ann's dedication to students lives on in her name.

Eligibility Open to all full-time, first year and second year female students registered in the Associate of Arts Degree, Associate of Science Degree, Criminology Diploma, Kinesiology Diploma, or Women’s Studies and Gender Relations Diploma programs at the College of New Caledonia. Preference will be given to students who have completed Academic Upgrading (formerly College and Career Preparation) course(s). A 300-500 word typed essay outlining how you meet the description and eligibility guidelines established for the scholarship is also required to be uploaded with application. A commitment to post-secondary education should be stated in the essay.
