Name Coastal GasLink Indigenous Community Strength Annual Bursary - Academic Upgrading
Description The Coastal GasLink project will safely deliver gas from northeastern BC to the LNG Canada facility in Kitimat BC. Implemented by TC Energy, and launched in 2014, the project has demonstrated a commitment to community by promoting education and its access through various bursary and scholarship programs. The Coastal GasLink Indigenous Community Strength Annual Bursaries are an example of this support, providing financial support to Indigenous students pursuing education in academic upgrading with desires to further their education and career goals. Removing financial barriers to education will help to strengthen our communities and build a healthier and sustainable future.

Eligibility Open to first year students in full or part-time studies enrolled in the academic upgrading program at the College of New Caledonia's Burns Lake, Fort St. James, Mackenzie, Prince George, or Vanderhoof campuses demonstrating financial need. First preference will be given to Indigenous students from a regional campus from any of the following BC First Nations communities: Haisla; Kitselas; Witset; Wet'suwet'en First Nation; Skin Tyee; Nee Tahi Buhn; Cheslatta; Yekooche; Burns Lake (Ts'il Kaz Koh); Stellat'en; Nak'azdli Whut'en; Nadleh Whut'en; Saik'uz; Lake Babine Nation; Lheidli T'enneh; McLeod Lake; West Moberly; Halfway River; Blueberry River; Doig River; Saulteau.
