| Description |
The Black History Month Annual bursary was established by Mr. Jacob Madjitey, a member of the CNC Black History Month Committee, the Prince George African American Heritage Society, and CNC Faculty. Jacob grew up in Africa, and relocated to Canada in his 20’s where he has led an enriching career primarily in the education sector. He was inspired to contribute to student awards from his own educational journey in which he too received support. This award honors his appreciation of education and community. |

| Eligibility |
Open to all registered full-time, first or second year students, at the College of New Caledonia, at any campus. Preference will be given to students with African or Caribbean heritage.
A 300-500 word, typed essay is required, outlining the student’s community and/or College community involvement, and briefly explaining their heritage. |
