The CNC Community & Continuing Education department has established this Life Long Learning Bursary in recognition of Catherine Wishart’s dedication and passion for life long learning and commitment to Community & Continuing Education at the College of New Caledonia. This bursary is intended to provide financial relief to those also dedicated to improving their situation through education.
Cathe came to CNC from the newspaper world, and from working in Continuing Education at a college in Alberta. At CNC she was first Regional Director, Nechako where she worked closely with all the communities to build programming that met their needs. In 1993 she moved to CNC Prince George, helping to rebuild both Continuing Education and Community Education/Custom Training. Cathe worked extensively with partners to ensure the College delivered the education and services they needed for their employees and in support of individual learners finding their career paths. In 2006 Cathe became VP Community & Student Services where she continued to support Continuing Education as an integral and essential part of the work of our community college.
