| Description |
This bursary was established in memory of Bridget Moran, a Prince George author and social activist, and a former board member of the College of New Caledonia. Bridget wrote the Canadian best-seller, Stoney Creek Woman, and went on to publish a number of other books. She was a tireless advocate for the poor and the disenfranchised. Her writing and her activism have had an impact far beyond Prince George, where she spent much of her working life. This bursary was established to ensure that Bridget's commitment to social justice and to the College of New Caledonia lives on in her name.
